MSI Wind U100-641US 10-Inch Black Netbook - 3 Cell Battery Review

I bought the 8 gig SSD Acer aspire one and it was great. I just loved it. A few friends even got one after seeing mine and hearing how much I liked it.

After having the aspire one for a while I wanted a larger netbook with more memory, more RAM and more style. I bought the MSI wind along with the $13 extra gig of RAM because it seemed like it would perfectly fill this purpose. Installing the RAM was easy and the machine starts up and runs very quickly. I think it is stylish and people often think it is a Mac when they first see it. Although it is great for many applications and easy to carry every where my only two complaints with it are major ones.

First this is a netbook so the WiFi should work very well, in mine it does not. If you are not very close to a source it constantly looses and regains the signal so you can not watch videos or down load large files. This alone would make me not buy another one. I often have both the Acer and the Wind running at the same time to test their WiFi capability. The Acer almost never cuts out and can run on even a very weak signal. With a good signal the Wind will often still cut out and can barely function with or just won't detect a weak signal.

Another thing that is more personal is that the touch pad is extremely sensitive to the point that I often don't click what I think I am because the pointer has shifted slightly when I picked my finger up. I have learned to compensate for this but it is annoying and not present in the aspire one.

The reason I picked the MSI 160 gb 10" net book over the comparable Acer model was the more stylish appearance and apparent (from online video instructions) ease of RAM upgrade. In the future if I buy another net book I will stay with an Acer as the WiFi card in their cheapest net book is much better.Get more detail about MSI Wind U100-641US 10-Inch Black Netbook - 3 Cell Battery.
